11:30am: Appointment with Dr. Monroy, I had high blood pressure and got sent across the parking lot to the hospital for monitoring.
12:00pm: My blood pressure was going up and they decided i should be induced.
1:00pm: They started inducing me, I wont go into details, lets just say it was very unpleasant...

12:00pm: I woke up after a couple hours of sleep, sick of course because I still had morning sickness, it was a very long 9 months.
1:00pm: I was started on pitocin and it was awful! The contractions sucked and I was in tears a majority of the time.
3:00pm: My water broke, and it hurt really really bad and felt like I was peeing and I cried a lil more, and I think this is around the time I yelled at Chad for the first time.
4:00pm I got my epidural and it was fantastic! I was feeling good and finally was able to sleep for the first time in like 24 hours. It was glorious!

1:00am: The nurses said that I could "try" pushing and see what happens, not the most encouraging words I have ever heard, but they were good enough for me!
4:00am: I had been pushing for 3 hours so they decided to call my doctor in to see what he wanted to do, he watched me push then laid out my options. I could either have a c-section or we could try using a vacuum to suck her out. After 3 hours of pushing it was kind of a let down to hear that I wouldn't be able to push the baby out all by myself, I'm not gonna lie I felt like I failed, but Chad and I decided that we would try the vacuum.
4:30am: The vacuum popped off Brisa's head, the Doctor said that he didn't like the pop off and he wasn't going to try it again. Then Chad called a nurse over to hold my leg so that he could sit and not pass out and 2 more nurses came in to take care of him and bring him orange juice, it was the highlight of the labor process, second only to finally seeing my baby girl!
4:55am: When Brisa finally made her entrance into the world the cord was wrapped around her neck and Dr. Monroy let Chad cut it off. Then they put her on my chest for a few seconds before the nicu team took her to start working on her. Her first cries were almost impossible to hear because they were so muffled by all the fluid she swallowed, but after they cleared her nose and throat I heard the cutest lil cries, not at all annoying. Brisa has a very low voice and it is so cute and she hardly ever cries. Shes my perfect little angel.

Good story telling skills. I don't know what your college English teacher was talking about. You should have gotten an A.
