Brisa in a nut shell

Now that Brisa has been home for a few weeks I feel like I know her really well.  So well in fact that I can tell all of you about her.  Here are just a few details about our sweet little bundle of joy:

She was wide awake, but she was smiling so big her eyes closed.

Our baby girl LOVES to smile.  I know people say babies can't smile at her age, but she totally does.  She is always happiest when she has just eaten, thats when her smiles are the biggest, but she also smiles in her sleep and recently when Daddy gives her kisses.  I love waking up to my lil girl smiling back at me, she melts my heart!  Yesterday she laughed while she was sleeping, I can't wait until she laughs when she is actually awake.  My little baby is getting so big!

The cone head.  She was still the most beautiful baby I had ever seen though...
Brisa almost never cries.  The only time she cries is when she is hungry, and even then she has to be VERY hungry, but if I respond to her early warning signs she doesn't fuss at all.  We are so spoiled!  She just loves to look around and watch what everyone is doing, we thought that she was going to be hard because in the hospital she cried a lot, but we realized it was just because she had a headache and laying on her back hurt her. As soon as the cone head went away she was a happy camper.  :)

She sure loves her little bird friends.

Every morning Brisa sits in her bouncy seat and looks at her bird friends while I eat some breakfast or do the dishes or whatever,  She stares them down and if I hit them and make them fly she follows them back and forth with her eyes.  She is such a lil cutie pie!  She always makes sure that she stays as still as possible so that she doesn't scare her bird friends away.  She will sit there as happy as can be for a good 20-30 minutes, it is awesome!  Who knew she was such an animal lover.  :)

Our little grown up sleeping in her crib.

I love my baby so much!  She is the perfect addition to our little family.  She's the perfect snuggle buddy.  I'm gonna be sad when she has to sleep in her own bed.  Chad has started putting her in her crib during the day so she gets used to sleeping in it. Yesterday I changed her diaper and laid her in the crib while I threw the diaper away and when I came back she was asleep.  It was so sad for me, I thought that for sure she would cry because I didn't rock her to sleep like I usually do, but as it turns out my baby doesn't need me.
